Kayak Kevin is the first kayaker to achieve expert angler status in the VA Saltwater Tournament. In 2007 he was the 1st to reach expert twice. Kayak Kevin has completed four long distance solo kayak tours.

In 2003, 500 miles from the GA/Fla border to Norfolk VA. In 2004, 200 miles from Oregon inlet NC to Ocean city MD. In 2005, 1800 miles from pensacula Fla to Norfolk VA. In 2007, 180 miles from Chesapeake Bay to Delaware Bay.
